Manaus is the capital of the state of Amazonas and is located in the emblematic and majestic confluence of the Negro and Solimões rivers, which forms the longest and most abundant river in the planet – the Amazon River – whose basin accounts for almost 20% of the total fresh water The oceans receive. This beautiful and symbolic city with its nearly 2.2 million inhabitants represents the most populous city and the largest development pole of the Amazon / Pan-Amazon, with a total area of ​​about 8 million square kilometers.
