François Chauvigné

Dr. François Chauvigné (1978, Angers, France) obtained a PhD in Biology at the University of Rennes I (Rennes, France) in 2006. In 2007, he became a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the joint laboratory Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries (IRTA)-Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) in Barcelona (Spain) where he worked for 6 years before moving to the University of Bergen for another postdoctoral contract. Since 2016, he has a tenure track position in the Comparative Molecular Physiology group at IRTA, Barcelona. He has published so far 48 SCI articles and is now studying the molecular regulation and endocrinology of spermatogenesis and sperm motility in fish, focusing on gonadotropin action on spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis as well as the role of water channels in sperm physiology.
